About The Portable Web Site elective at
the Academies @ Englewood:
Transition to Adulthood was created to
assist young adults with and without disabilities and special health care
needs. This is an effort of many agencies inside and outside of
The students of the Academies @ Englewood saw an opportunity to make a
difference in the world. We were truly eager and ready to expend our best
effort by taking all of this information and making it easily accessible for
those who need it.
From the beginning, we were committed to providing honest and informative
work. Each and every Thursday from March thru June of 2006 we worked with
smiles on our faces. We were smiling because we knew that our effort will
someday help another person, and that was enough motivation to keep us going
despite many impasses along the way.
As students who attend the Academies at
Even though the project is a work in progress, we are proud
of the significant headway we’ve made. Our work converting PDF files, creating
accompanying audio files and fabricating digital picture icons and navigation
pages was not easy, but if our work has managed to help just one person, then
it was well-worth the effort.. We want to thank everyone for reading this, and
any comments you may have will be received gratefully, thank you.
