Accounts Payable / Receivable Clerk                 Part-time

Important fiscal position for a non-profit organization serving families and professionals. Candidate should have strong communication, customer service and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is expected; familiarity with additional software programs, such as Peachtree. is valued. Organization expects a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Job duties include:

1)      Matching, batching, coding and entering invoices.

2)      Entering, posting and reconciling batches.

3)      Researching and resolving accounts payable or accounts receivable issues with grantors or vendors.

4)      Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to the general ledger.

5)      Maintaining cash applications, account reconciliations,

6)             Various clerical duties as assigned.

Job qualifications, demonstrated through experience or education include:

1)      Reliable and punctual attendance;

2)      At least 2 years experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping positions;

3)      Proficient in use of Microsoft Office particularly Microsoft Excel;

4)      Proficient in use of accounting software packages, PeachTree – a plus

5)      Attention to detail;

6)      Strong organization skills;

7)      Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members;

8)      Strong oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English;

Reports to:    Fiscal Director

Hours:    20 Hours per week

Salary:   $13.00 per hour

Parent Training and Information Center
Technical Assistance Specialist – Full Time

The PTI Technical Assistance Specialist provides information, technical assistance and support to parents and caregivers regarding the education and healthy development of their children with disabilities and/or at risk of inappropriate referral to special education.  The PTI TA Specialist provides information and technical assistance to families on the telephone, at meetings, and through material dissemination by mail and email.  The TA Specialist will also disseminate publications and evaluation surveys from parents and professionals receiving TA, information, and written materials.

Job Responsibilities:

1.       Provide information and technical assistance to families on the telephone, via e-mail, and through material dissemination by regular and electronic mail.

2.       Input complete and comprehensive information regarding all contacts into the SPAN Contact Management System.

3.       Develop, organize and maintain reference materials to assist in providing contacts with complete and accurate information.

4.       Disseminate evaluation surveys to parents and professionals receiving technical assistance, information, and written materials.

5.       Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Demonstrate any combination of training and experience that provides the following knowledge, abilities, and skills:

1.       Strong communication & organizational skills and experience working with diverse families;

2.       Knowledge of family and child development, education laws and strategies for effective parent involvement in improving student outcomes;

3.       Familiarity with and understanding of state and national education reform programs and educational rights for children with disabilities and their families as well as strategies for effective parent-professional collaboration and leadership development;

4.       Facility with written and verbal communication, strong Spanish skills a plus;

5.       Knowledge of resources for children with special needs and/or at risk and their families;

6.       Experience with computers and knowledge of Microsoft Word, a database software program and internet is essential;

7.       Ability to work well with a wide spectrum of people;

8.       Ability to work well independently as well as with a team;

9.       Demonstrated commitment to the goals of the project and organization.

Qualifications

Must be parent of a child with special needs.  Must reside in the county for which you are applying: Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester or Salem or be familiar with service systems in that county or counties (may apply to fill more than one position; if so, it is preferred that you live in one of the counties for which you are applying). Preferred: parent of a child who has gone through Early Intervention and transitioned to Preschool. Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish)
