6A:16-8.3 Mandatory student placements
(a) The district shall provide placement for a student in an alternative education program in the following instances:
N.J.A.C. 6A:16-5.5 ; and1. A student removed from general education for a firearms offense, pursuant to
2. A student removed from general education for an assault with weapons offense, pursuant to
N.J.A.C. 6A:16-5.6 .(b) If placement in an alternative education program is not available, the student shall be provided instruction at home or in another suitable facility until placement is available, pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:16-9.
